CAIRE Inc. was founded in 1992 and is considered one of the world’s largest manufacturers of oxygen therapy systems. The company, headquartered in Ball Ground (Georgia, U.S.), was part of Chart Industries for many years and has been owned by the Japanese company NGK Spark Plug since 2019. CAIRE carries well-known brands such as AirSep and SeQual and offers a wide range of products: portable oxygen concentrators (such as the FreeStyle series and SeQual Eclipse 5), stationary concentrators for home use, liquid oxygen systems, and large-scale oxygen generators for medical and industrial applications. The Visionaire and the 10-liter Intensity are part of the product line. In addition, CAIRE supplies cardiorespiratory diagnostic equipment. The company claims to have been the first manufacturer to receive FAA approval for a portable oxygen concentrator for use on board commercial flights.
