Philips Respironics is a division of Philips that originated from Respironics, which was founded in 1976 in the Pittsburgh area (U.S.). The company introduced one of the first commercial CPAP devices for the treatment of sleep apnea in 1985 and became part of Philips in 2008. Its current product lineup includes CPAP and BiPAP devices (such as the DreamStation series), sleep masks, diagnostic sleep systems, pulse oximeters, and oxygen concentrators such as the portable SimplyGo and the stationary EverFlo, which has now been replaced by the Oxygenate 5.
